Robin Barrie Kaiden, MS, RD, CDN, CSSD is one of the nation’s leading experts in personal wellness, nutrition, physical fitness, and weight loss. As the founder of Robin Barrie™, her Manhattan-based practice and consulting group, she has cultivated a following for developing individualized, realistic, and results-oriented plans that ensure diet and fitness goals are achieved and maintained for a lifetime. Robin also consults regularly with top physicians, educational institutions, fitness centers, private clubs, and various private and professional groups in the tri-state area.

Renowned for her wealth of expertise and a trusted resource for print, television, and online media, Robin is regularly tapped to contribute to local and national health, lifestyle, and entertainment stories for CBS, NBC, ABC, Parenting, Golf Fitness, and Forbes.com, among other media outlets. She is also engaged frequently as a guest lecturer and discussion panelist.

A graduate of Cornell University “With Distinction”, Robin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences with an Exercise Science Minor and was a member of the esteemed Kappa Omicron Nu, Golden Key, and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Societies. Her higher education includes a Master of Science Degree at Columbia University, where she majored in Applied Physiology and Nutrition and completed her Dietetic Internship Program.

Robin’s professional roles have included Senior Clinical Dietitian and Pediatric Dietician at Beth Israel Medical Center and the Continuum Health Partners Hospitals in Manhattan, where she assessed and counseled patients with a range of disease states on medical, surgical, and intensive-care units for five years. She also spent five years as the inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Nutritionist at Beth Israel, and five years as an Early Intervention Nutritionist.

Other roles have included in-house Nutritionist at Drive 495, as well as numerous pediatric and family wellness partnerships with local elementary schools (PS 6, The Gramercy School), social mom-centric groups (Big City Moms), and a variety of health fairs.

In the area of physical fitness, Robin enjoyed competitive dance and swim training at an early age, and also worked at Cornell’s gyms during her college years. She became a certified as Master Trainer at New York Sports Club and later transitioned to private personal training, which she has since coupled with her nutritional counseling services for a whole-body approach to health and wellness.

Robin is an American Dietetic Association Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), a New York State Licensed Nutritionist (CDN), and a NASM, ACE, and AAAI/ISMA Pre & Post Natal Certified Personal Trainer. Her professional memberships include the Greater New York Dietetic Association, the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN), Pediatric Nutrition (PN), and Nutrition Entrepreneurs (NE) Dietetic Practice Groups (DPGs).
